Tasha Williams is an artist, illustrator and multi-hyphenate creative whose work celebrates Black life through a vibrant, colorful lens. Using a playful, cartoon-inspired style, Williams creates worlds filled with bold palettes, expressive characters, and a sense of lighthearted imagination that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.
At the heart of her practice is a commitment to depicting Black women in states of joy, whimsy, and softness. Her art embraces the “soft life” as both an aesthetic and a declaration—honoring rest, pleasure, tenderness, and everyday magic. Through her art, Williams centers Black joy as expansive and intentional, offering visual narratives where Black women are free to be gentle, dreamy, and fully themselves.
Artist's Statement
"My work is deeply rooted in the rich tapestry of African American culture and heritage, most frequently centered around Black women. Through my art, I hope to create spaces where viewers can engage with the power and beauty of our shared experiences, fostering a sense of connection, reflection, relaxation, and pride."
